A good picture captures a moment in time. A portrait must be more than just a good picture. I believe that a good portrait captures a whole facet of someone's personality. I try to find the image that embodies that person as a whole, not just their smile.

What counts as a portrait session? Almost anything, but here are some examples:

  • Graduation/Prom Photos
  • Professional Head Shots
  • Maternity/Baby Photos
  • Family Portraits
  • Sports Team or Band Photos
  • Birthday or Event Photography

What You Get:

With any portrait session, the following are included:

  • Setup Fee
  • 1 CD of images in color and black and white, both in high resolution print size and a smaller convenient web size.
  • 3 free photoshop retouches per hour or "look" scheduled
  • An online gallery to show friends and family

  • One extra "look" per half hour of photography scheduled after the first
  • Reasonable travel expenses if outside the San Fancisco Bay Area
  • Photoshop retouching beyond what is included in the basic session
  • I can recommend hair and makeup stylists, if desired

Sometimes photos need a little extra love. That is where digital retouching or "photoshopping" comes in. Blemish and wrinkle removal, teeth whitening, and other photo touchups are just a small part of what can be achieved with a bit of digital elbow grease. Photo restoration is also possible for aged or damaged pictures.

There are two levels of retouching, with separate pricing:

  • Basic - Contrast and saturation adjustments, skin blemish removal, sharpening
  • Advanced - Background replacement, major alterations like adding/removing a person

When you schedule a portrait session three basic touchups of your choice are included, plus an additional three for each hour after the first.
